Julian Hingley - Director
Julian is the director of Cross Frontier Education and the architect behind the Teacher 2 Teacher România project. He is a career teacher who has taught previously in the UK for 19 years, chiefly within London and across a range of schools and with a variety of responsibilities. He has been a teacher for 28 years, first being appointed to the headship of a school at the tender age of 26. He has worked with students from Year 4 through to undergraduate level in university. He has now been appointed as the Director of College for the new Queen Elizabeth College with ultimate responsibilities for all academic planning.
Prior to this appointment, Julian taught for eight years in international schools in Bucharest. He was principal of the International British School for seven years and built up a very successful institution. He also taught as a senior educational manager at the International School of Bucharest where he was responsible for establishing the first Cambridge International Examinations programme in Romania. Julian has diverse interests and pursuits and is in Romania for the long haul. He is married and has three children.
Cristina Gingirov - Office Manager
Cristina is a graduate in Law from 'Titu Maiorescu' University. She joined Cross Frontier Education as the Executive Manager responsible for putting the team together in order to set up a fully operational administrative office. Her main role is to provide high quality information solutions to everyone interested. She is responsible for all the personnel in the administrative office.
Having studied in an International environment, such as the American International School of Bucharest and Webster University in Vienna, Cristina has developed a high-quality sense of culture differences.
Her fluency in both Romanian and English allow her to move freely among cultural groups at the office.
Cristina believes that being hard-working, well-organized, goal oriented, multicultural, open personality and a friendly person represents the key to success.
Hostiuc Alexandru - Technical Resources
Alex is a graduate in Management from Romanian-American University in Bucharest. He joined Cross Frontier Education in 2009, as the Technical Developer responsible for editing, translating materials and IT resources. His main goal is to deliver together with the rest of the team, the Directors Workshop Pilot. His vision of success comes thru hard work and devotion in everything that you do.
Sorin Sandu - CODECS Maths & Adult Education
Sorin Sandu is a CODECS trainer with the Training and Consultancy Division, being a certified specialist in the ‘360 Solutions’ programs.
As a graduate from University of Bucharest, Physics Faculty, he shaped his expertise in the adults’ training field through the involvement in Leonardo/Comenius projects as well as by undertaking the programs of Toyota Academy.
Sorin joined seven years ago the CODECS Foundation for Leadership while working also as a teacher and became the mentor and inspirational model for generations of young learners aiming to manage their own destinies.
He enrolled into the training field by curiosity and to push forward his own limits, having the strong belief that, this way, he can generate a deep learning experience. Curiosity became soon a passion for this activity and then it became a profession; he had his first training in 2002.
Sorin joined the CODECS team to implement training and organization consultancy projects with BCR, GRIRO, ROMSYS, PARMALAT, INTENSA, SANPAOLO, FUCHS, AVIA MOTORS, ING BANK. The list stays open for the new collaborations CODECS will organize in the future.
Presently, he is involved in selling skills development programs, communication and negotiation, leadership and personal development.
At CODECS, his main focus was to build a standardization mechanism in order to run at a high quality standard the 360 Solutions by CODECS.
